My Xbox One S won’t connect to wirelessly

For the past few months my Xbox One S has been getting connection timeouts it first started to happen rarely but soon enough I would disconnect from Xbox Live before I could even choose what profile I wanted to use. Every single other electronic device works wirelessly except for my Xbox. The only way I can enjoy using my Xbox is with Ethernet and Ethernet cable is placed awkwardly making it hard to plug in to my Xbox. Can anyone help me?

How far is it away from the router / gateway device ?

Since only the XBox One S is affected, this points to an issue with the device.
