Low connection speed south florida

Good morning,

 

Been having issues for the last 2 weeks.  Signals seem to be ok to my modem (netgear cm600).  I got the 600 mbs down plan.  I am constantly getting only 50.

Any help would be appreciated.  I have rebooted modem more than enough.  No splitters.  Line from junction box to outside house.  from outside house directly to modem.

Downstream power is in spec, but low-ish. Upstream power is out of spec (too high). I'd want to see it below +50 dBmV. Problems like this are often due to poor coax connections or damaged coax cable, usually in or near your home.

If you want to troubleshoot this yourself, please see Internet Troubleshooting Tips. If you can't find the problem or you'd rather have Comcast take care of it, call them at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast, or use one of the options on https://www.xfinity.com/support/contact-us/. If they can't fix the problem remotely (unlikely), insist they send a tech out to identify the cause and correct it.

If the tech finds bad coax, splitters, amplifiers, or connections in your home (even if Comcast originally supplied them) you'll probably have to pay for the visit unless you have their Service Protection Plan (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/service-protection-plan, closed to customers that don't already have it). If the trouble is due to a faulty Comcast rental device, or anything outside your home, you shouldn't be charged.

Thanks for the Reply Bruce, I can't get them to send a tech out to check cabling.  The cable from my house to the junction box is not my responsibility correct?  I think it may be damaged but can't confirm since some of it is not in my property.   I have a virtual call on monday

Correct. At minimum, even with COVID happening, they should be willing to check signals at the ground block and correct any problems that may exist up to that point.

yeah that's not happening, they will send someone within 14 days to cover the exposed cable on the other side of my fence but not any time before that.  Everytime i call I have to reset my modem and wait for a call back.  They look at the modem and say everything is fine.  I ordered their gateway so they can see better results.  I am almost at the point I will get at&t since they give me faster speed than what i am getting for half of the price
