Internet doesn't work. Comcast will not schedule a repair.

My internet cuts out constantly. I am 100% work from home and this is a big problem for my work, which is all done on a remote server. It makes it impossible to schedule meetings and give presentations on Zoom or to watch videos/movies.

 

I have called Comcast over 20 times about this problem, but they refuse to schedule a repair visit. This is probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, there are no other ISPs in my area. I have contacted my local government and joined an advocacy group for municipal broadband (which is gaining a lot of traction), but these are long-term solutions.

 

Any ideas for getting my internet fixed soon?

Are you able to access the modem to get the signal stats on your end? Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers. Either a screen shot or a copy paste of the relavent data would work.

Do you know the manufacturer and model number of your modem?

What do the modem's signal stats look like ?. Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?

Is this a WiFi connection ?
