Hi, I used to have my own modem/wifi and it started to have intermittent issues and finally just simply started disconnecting. I upgraded to the Xfinity xFi and while the Gateway is showing on-line, I'm getting drop offs for my web browsing and security system. I'm seeing ALOT of uncorrectible errors in the modem log for the uplink channels. I'm a computer network admin for a regional 9-1-1 center and need my internet connection to be reliable as I am on -call. I've checked all my connections and they are all fine. I've also tested via direct connect from my laptop to the gateway and it too drops intermittently. Is there a way to test the line coming in and see if there is any problem with it, or is one of those "that's odd" IT problems?
What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1
Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?
Is this a WiFi connection ?
