Intermittent Internet Service (mostly weekend issues)

I have been needed to unplug and plug in my modem on the weekends when service seems to start to go in and out. Here is an example of my event log from my Modem.

 

I do not think its the modem, I believe it is upstream internet single power. I remove the MAC addresses for privacy.

 

Thoughts? Its an SB6190 DOCS 3.0 modem.

Here is the modem status i have been told the power levels should be -2 to 2 and that I have read that water may be in a line on street causing these issues.

Post the upstream power level and the modem's Error /event log entries as well.

The downstream power is pretty high but I'm not certain that that is the root cause of your problem. You could try knocking it down some using an attenuator pad like this;

Live with it a while and see what happens. YMMV. Post back if you still have the problem.

I placed the order and i will keep the logs all week. Do you think its the Modem? Or something on the street?

 

My home netweek setup is the Modem is connected to the line from the street directly. Then the ethernet line from there runs upstairs to the router. So I am not going through any lines throughout the house. i only have internet, the cable lines are connected to the attic attena.

I think that it is the latter. Your connection may be located right off of a line amplifier on the pole.
