I know if I call customer care I won't get much help. I know that multiple IP addresses are capable with a business account. However I've seen other users on this forum that were able to accomplish this with the help of employees who watch the forums.
I switched from 200 to the 1Gbps package and would love to have two addresses. I have the comcast provided modem.
First, check the "Rate Card" for your local area to see if that feature is even available anymore. Seems that it is being phased out;

Scroll down to "Xfinity Internet" and look for "Additional IP Addresses".
If nothing is listed then it's likely to have been discontinued in your local market area.
