I want to change the default DNS servers that xfinity uses

Right now I am given 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.75.76 for my DNS servers. I consistenly have issues where I am not getting a response from these and if at the same time I try to do an nslookup to eitheer google with 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 or Umbrella/Opendns 208.67.222.222/208.67.220.220 I don't see the issue. I'm not able to change it myself so is there a way I can request xfinity to change mine or give me access so I can make the change myself?

If you are using a Comcast supplied gateway device then the answer is no. You can only change the DNS servers in the individual LAN network devices if they offer that feature.

Just an FYI - here is a DNS test tool:

This is one reason I use my own modem and router; I can change the DNS to whatever I want. (Currently use Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, but OpenDNS and Quad Nine are good too.)
