I need Support to Disable Home Hotspot

I need Support to Disable Home Hotspot

1. I know it is active. I have logged into my router and it shows active. I have reset my device at witness the wifi hotspot disappear and reappear with the modem restart.

 

2. I have disabled this 4 times now on my account using the same methods as I have before.

 

3. I HAVE NEVER turned it back on, but like a bad penny, it comes back.

 

4. I have followed these directions:

4a.  https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/disable-xfinity-wifi-home-hotspot

result: " We're having trouble accessing this data. Please try again later."

4b.  https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-wifi-hotspots

result sends me to my account internet page, no place to disable 

4c. http://wifi.xfinity.com/ this has a link that says Click here to disable it.

result sends me to my account internet page, no place to disable 

 

5. I have tried this on 2 separate browsers and 2 different phones. I am sick and tired of this turning back on.

 

I WANT IT OFF Permanently.  I work from home. This is a direct security problem with the work I do. This violates my abilities to use this device to the specifications advertised and offered in my contract. I have no idea why this ability was removed from the router itself. Foolish.

 

I need someone to contact me and get this resolved. I don't want to be reassured to have it off,  and see it still broadcasting. It is easy to test.  I don't want to use my channels to get this resolved and waste time and resources.

I am glad we were able to manually turn off the hot spot by me changing it in our system and you switching the bridge mode off and on.
