How come I never get the right internet speed that I pay for?

How come I never get the right internet speed that I pay for?

This is a very disappointed service provider.  It's happened so many times that I paid for 1gig internet and everytime I checked the internet and I got 250mbps max.  I asked and they troubleshoot and increased the speed. Is that illegal to do that?

Hi vtalkworld. We appreciate you visiting and posting on our Forums. I can assist with troubleshooting your internet speed issues. It sounds like there may an issue causing intermittent interruption. The way we help troubleshoot your speed issue will vary depending upon if you issue is occurring over WiFi or when hardwired via Ethernet. When you run the speed tests and they are slow, how are you connected?
