How To Setup a Network Area Storage (NAS) System With xFi

Hi, 

 

I am trying to figure out the best way/to see if it is even possible to setup a network area storage (NAS) similar to this: WD 8TB My Cloud EX2 Ultra Network Attached Storage - NAS  ,on the xFi Advanced Gateway or xFi Gateway 3rd Generation. 

 

I have seen some people say they have trouble setting up ethernet NAS systems into their gateway with security issues/device being offline despite being plugged in. 

 

I want to know:

 

  1. Is a NAS system compatible with an xFi Gateway?
  2. What is the best NAS system that will work with my xFi Gateway?
  3. How can I overcome common setup/compatibility issues?

Connect it to the gateway device via ethernet.
