My connection has been steady and fast for a long time. Can't complain about my service. . .until recently. This past week my connection has been intermittenly dropping and the modem was doing auto reboots, (Arris TG1682G). I unplugged it for a while, rebooted, but the problem of losing my connection and auto reboots persisted. So I brought it to my local Comcast office and left with another modem, same model. I entered my network info incorrectly and I just want to do a hard reset, not just a reboot, and start from scratch but it isn't taking. I'm using a paperclip, holding in the reset button until the unit shuts off, then releasing it and it reboots but the network I set up remains. What can I do to start fresh? Thank you.
