Downstream channel modulation ‘other’

I am using the Arris SB2000 modem. It appears that the downstrwam channel id 1 has a modulation of 'other'. Also channel 2 is not locked. I have included the screen capture of the modem status page. Comcast support says the signal looks ok, but we are having intermittent problems.

Having intermittent connection issues.

Having intermittent connection issues. Wired and wireless. I am using the Arris SB8200 modem. I am including the modem event log. I have submitted to this forem before and not gotten an answer. If there is a different place to get tech support, please let me know.

thank you

Re: Having intermittent connection issues.

FWIW, that channel marked as (Other) is the DOCSIS 3.1 / OFDM channel. It is for the delivery of their gigabit speeds. There is a known glitch with some makes / models of modem's firmware where the measuring mechanism incorrectly reads the power level, the SNR, and the bit errors for that channel. So it reads many errors when there really aren't. It's normal.

And as far as channel number 2 showing as being "not locked", many, if not most local systems have gone down from using 32 QAM 256 DOCSIS 3.0 downstream channels to now using only 31 since the implementation of the DOCSIS 3.1 / OFDM channel. So that would seem to be normal as well. And all of the signal status numbers are within specs. What is the exact connectivity issue that you are having ? And you stated that you are including the error log entries, but I don't see them ?
