Download speed flipped with upload

I typical restart my modem and router 1-3 times a day, and get back to 150+ down, 10-15 up. I do this when Down goes to 2-10mbps and simple browsing isn't working. Now even restarting doesn't seem to work. Give the little bit I looked at other users complaining about this, here are some of the stats I could pull. I did recently replace modem and wireless router. Problem is happening with or without a router. I also have no splitters between wall and modem.

Your downstream power is not even close to being in spec. Check if you have any extra splitters, you can remove to gain signal back you need to gain anywhere from 16-24 dB but I’d wager that you’ll need a tech out. I’ve escalated this up to a colleague to assist getting one scheduled

Thanks Andrew. There are no other splitters. The only line I have is a 6 foot cable from the wall to the modem. And I already replaced that with a newer one thinking that may be the issue.

@CCAndrew, what other steps should I take at this point?

Re: Download speed flipped with upload

If you have TV from Comcast, you have other splitters to check. Also check the all the connections to ensure they are clean and tight including the ones outside. If you have any store bought connectors, be sure they are quaility ones (see other posts on the subject). Running the Comcast cable along an electrical line can cause issues. Try a different cable from the wall to the modem.
