Does the Xfi router have to be hooked up to get my unlimited data?
As it says - Does the Xfi router have to be hooked up to get my unlimited data?
I've ran over my data a couple times, called Comcast to see what could be done. Switch plan around, etc. and if I switch to their router I get unlimited data. Whole package even with rental saved me $30 a month so I said yes. Got it hooked up today and this thing is horrible. Internet speeds have gone from 950+D/50U to 500D/3U, my nest and ring no longer want to function, half my smart devices won't work, the 2.4Ghz network keeps dropping, but then just discovered that it's blocking my work's VPN. So you know, GREAT when having to work from home. The only way I've been able to get around half the stuff is to turn off firewall and advanced security (which I apparntly pay an extra $5 to have?)
So yeah, tomorrow morning I'm going to switch my modem and router back and this <Edited> can sit on a shelf. If I don't give the router back do I get to keep my unlimited data? At least I'm paying less than before.
