Cannot access VPN

Cannot access VPN

I work remotely for work and cannot access a client VPN.  Others not on Comcast can access without issue. I am told it is because the Comcast modem I have does not allow Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) packets (protocol 47).  How do I fix this setting? Help please.

Comcast gateways aren't known for being very user configurable. Probably the best long term solution is to get a third party router and set your Comcast gateway into bridge mode (or buy your own modem from the Approved Xfinity Modems and Gateways  list and save the $13/mo rental fee).
