Bridge Mode

Hi,

I have a 1 gbyte xfinity gateway connected to an Orbi RBR40 router with three satalites. The Orbi is in AP mode.  I turned off the wifi on the xfinity gateway.  Should I also put the gateway into bridge mode?  If I do should I change the Orbi from AP to Router?

Re: Bridge Mode

Well, one and ONLY ONE of the devices (Xfi or Orbi) should be be in router mode to manage your home network.  Totally up to you which one you think will work better.

I have my XB6 in Bridge Mode which turns off its wifi  and my Orbi handles all wifi.

Re: Bridge Mode

I have mine setup the same as  with my orbi.  Works great!
