I currently have the arris and it works just fine. Curious if it is still a good option for the gigabit service? Will be using the modem in a second location so I can use the same one I currently have.
Hello, @cdr_pfeif! Thank you so much for reaching out to Comcast today over our Community Forums!
The modems that you have mentioned are both Docsis 3.1 devices, needed, and capable for our Gigabit Internet service. You can check your device, and for other supported modems by accessing https://comca.st/3qva6db
Here is a great reference article reviewing all the steps.
Thanks. I heard lots of complaints about over heating on the sb8200 but mine never did. Same with the new s33. Others have said the Motorola's have better venting.
but all true the same specs... never had an issue with the sb8200 but I don't have the gigabit plan either.
