I got a SB6183 to make the best usage of the 150Mb service. I noticed that the speed tests were actually slower and started looking at the modem and noticed a TON of correctable and uncorrectable errors and only on one bonded channel. Nothing really on the others. Tips? The modem has been rebooted already which doesn't seem to improve anything.
If I was your tech I'd be examining connectors for corrosion. In particular, when you take a connection apart you want to see a shiny copper "stinger" center conductor. High frequencies travel along the outside of the center conductor, so they tend to get borked first from any corrosion. Also, make sure your connections are all tight. If you have a wall outlet, don't forget to check the back of it.
See the troubleshooting guide for more info about connectors/splitters.
Also, you're checking speeds directly connected to the modem via ethernet?
Thanks for the response.
Here are the levels on the upstream side.
I can double-check the connections but the only thing I replaced was the modem itself.
