2.4ghz Not Available

Comcast shipped a different (XB3) dual band gateway to replace one they said might have issues due to how old it was. Setup went smoothly, but after trying to set up a wireless printer I noticed I couldn't see the 2.4ghz band. Checked the front of the gateway and found the light for the 2.4 is out. Tried a power cycle but no change. Is the hardware defective?

You could try hard resetting the device to factory defaults by pressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the rear for 30 seconds. You will lose any customized settings.
