Same problem. I paused a device and it worked at first but not for long. Unpausing/pausing doesn't work at all. I made sure to disable the xfinity hotspot on our router. Child is still connected to gateway and using internet even though the device is supposed to be paused. So frustrating. I see it's a year after many similar reports and Comcast stating they are "working on it" but apparently no fix?!
@bzimmy415, @Jabudarh, I have run a cleanup on your Gateways to clear out old/invalid rules that were likely causing this issue with unpausing devices. Please let me know if you are still experiencing the issue.

- MAC address of the device you're trying to pause
- Date/Time stamp for when you paused the device in xFi
- a screenshot of how the devices appears in the devices list while it should be paused

I am having issues on one of my desktop computers with the message
on xFi Pause/UnPause and Bedtime Mode Issues
I am unable to unpause a device on my network and I cannot restart my gateway either.
You can restart the gateway by unplugging the power cable and plugging it back in.
@Ronsurf23, @Lilith79, @Mandalafractal, @SBails2 -- I ran a quick sync to clear out old rules and ensure xFi it setting the rules on the Gateway correctly. Please let me know if you experience any more issues.

I agree. I paused my grandsons Xbox One only to find out he can still get on it. Geeze. What good is this app.
Another customer found out their son had installed a VPN which bypassed the Parental Controls.
@Lash4, @Venger2k - I have run a quick sync on the xFi rules on your account. It should not have impacted any settings you have previously chosen, but should have cleaned up any old/outdated rules on your Gateway that may have been impacting the Pause and Bedtime Mode features.

@MalinaJ, I was able to run the same sync process on your Gateway to ensure the rules set in xFi match what is on the device. Please let me know if you continue to experience issues.
I'm having the same problem. Bedtime mode doesn't work on my son's PC. It used to work, but for some reason no longer does. I can manually pause it though.
Unless the allowed hours are followed, there is no access at all unless I put password back to the usual one. If it is used after midnight, then I change it. Sort of like "grounding" till he learns his lesson.
