Smart plugs

Just tried to connect some smart plug to the router and they only work on 2.4gh. I know the new router has both 2.4 and 5. How do I get it to switch with out affecting the stuff already connected?

If you mean the xFi Pods, they work with one SSID that combines both bands and they attach each device to the correct band.

Re: Smart plugs

These are the outlets where you can control lights and other small items. Not the pods.

Re: Smart plugs

To whomever answers

I also tried smart plug and unable to change bandwidth even going to xfinity app. You can change the channel but not get plug on 2.4 bandwidth. It is a pain. Or they need to make smart plugs or xfiniry smarter.
