Pods

I am constantly losing connection from my devices to my pods. I can reboot the gateway and this sometimes works. As of right now I have rebooted the gateway and the 3 pods show as being online, but no devices are connected to them and I have devices that do not see the newtork now. This happens quite often. Ideas?

Re: Pods

Hi,  You only have 1 pod showing up and online.  Please do me a favor and unpair the pods and pair them back. You want the 1st pod within 10 feet of the modem so very close bascially.  Put your 2nd pod center of the house if possible and the last one, put it closer to the other end of the house. You can also run a speed test here to find out how fast the connection is and how long of ping reply you get back on this link or from inside of the xFi app as well.

You want to move the pod where you get the fastest speed and best connection possible. Please let us know how all of that works out for you. We hope you have a great Memorial day weekend!

Re: Pods

I had read where sometimes you wouldn’t need all 3. That’s the reason for only one online. All 3 are online now in the locations you suggested. I am current Getting a ping of 18ms with download of 29 and up at 16

Re: Pods

Hi, Your very first message was that your devices will not stay connected to the pods. There will be no point in using just one pod because the pods are a selective mesh system and are used to send internet signal from one pod to the next pod so that when your device is trying to connect to the internet it will reach the closest pod instead of the Gateway which will be too far away to connect to. One pod wouldn't help you connect to the internet and i would assume you need all of your pods. If your home is 1000-1200 sqft and up to 2000sqft then you need all 3 pods to give you a perfect internet connection.   Please let us know how it works out for you now!
