Inactive Device

Why does my ACTIVE iPad appear in the app as being inactive when it is clearly connected to my network and in use?

Re: Inactive Device

Look, I’ve done it all. I’m not happy with what I’ve found; my iPad is still not recognized. Further, I’ve had to register my iPhone 3 times.

Hello Trae_Ashleigh. I can assist with troubleshooting your xFi network issue. It sounds like there may be an error in your network communication. Have you tried to reboot your Wireless Gateway and retest?

I’ve done everything, and nothing is the result. Why not!

Look, I’ve done it all. Nothing has resulted in my iPad being recognized. Further, I’ve had to upload my iPhone three times. And, on occasion, I’m still getting an error message - “No network could be detected.” - when I open the Connect app on either my iPad or iPhone while I’m clearly online. Just what is going on?

Re: Inactive Device

I've rebooted my modem several times now.  Even when my iPad is obviously connected to my wifi, and I am utilizing the xfi app, the app indicates that my iPad is inactive and not connected to my Wireless Gateway.  The app does this whether I utilize it on my iPad or my iPhone or both concurrently.  The xfi app I use was created solely for the iPhone, not for the iPad.  However, this same app does download to the iPad and functions - somewhat - for the iPad.  Still, this doesn't seem to be the reason the iPad - when connected to wifi and utilizing the app - can't be detected as active and connected to the Wireless Gateway.

Re: Inactive Device

How are you identifying the iPad?  The xFi app can display the MAC address of the device and you can compare it to you iPad's MAC address.

I'll have to check that out when next I utilize the app.

Hi Trae_Ashleigh. Since you are still experiencing issues with your devices being recognized in the xFi app, I would like to take a closer look at your modem and network. Please send me a private message and include your full name, service address, and account number so I can access your account.
