Gateway staying online

Gateway staying online

My gateway drops its signal every other day or so. My devices and tv have to reboot, and it takes 10 minutes to do so. Since I have to rent the gateway from Comcast, can I just return it for an updated one?

I have replaced my gateway several times at my nearest Xfinity Store.  I prefer doing it that way because I can be sure that my account is updated with the correct gateway.

I am not a Comcast Employee.
I am just a customer, volunteering my time to help other customers here in the Forums.
