I am already connected to my in-home wifi, but I am seeing this message on a number of different channels (not all), as well as some on demand content that I would like to watch.
So far, I have rebooted my modem, as well as my laptop, but still need help resolving this problem.
Can someone help me with this?
Can you give us a list of some channels you are getting this? (ESPN, ABC, etc.)
Channel 852 - CSNNE
Channel 853 - NFL Network
Channel 856 - CBS Sports
That's just to name a couple without having to go through the channels one at a time. I also get that same "connect to in-home wifi" message when trying to access any number of shows that are in the on demand section. It doesn't seem to correspond with the channel being accessible or not.
Are you logged in to your Xfinity SSID?

I know you posted in the stream website area, but do you have a smart phone/tablet to try the xfinity stream TV app? if so, does the smart device work normally?
The same thing seems to be happening on my other devices as well.

what is the SSID name that you are connecting for your wifi? have you tried using a pc connected by ethernet to see if that works?

I have a laptop that doesn't allow me to connect via ethernet, otherwise I would.
After checking, I am logged into my Xfinity SSID. What's weird is that some channels work fine, but others consistently don't work.
Hi @tpm985 I submitted a separate ticket for this issue, and will follow up with you as soon as I hear back any updates.
@tpm985 customer care may be contacting you soon, if not already, to discuss a few troubleshooting steps. If you do not get that call, please let me know.
Are you using a VPN to connect to the Internet? Your system adminidtrator should know. I had the same problem with Xfinity trying to stream TV and movie channels that worked fine on my TV but not on my desktop. I found that if I turned off my VPN access and went directly to the Internet I was able to stream Xfinity stations. Remember even though you may have Comcast with Xfinity at home the Cable TV is direct wired through boxes however Xfinity streaming is not, it goes to the Internet first and then back to your desktop. So if you are using a VPN part of the signal is blocked. Turn off your VPN or access Xfinity another way and it should work fine, did for me.

@tpm985 Dear user, are you still experiencing OutOfHome error message when streaming on your laptop while connected to your home WiFi?
