Hi
I saw another thread has similar issue but did not see the soluiton been posted. I recently upgrade my service to Gigabit and using the latest XB7 gateway. I just notice the ethernet cable speed is much slower than WiFi?! Ethernet runs 200 - 250Mbps while WiFi can go from 500 - 600Mbps. What is the possible issue here?! It seems I am not the only experience this issue? Very strange. Can someone help and advice what should I do from here? Thanks

plug a freshly restarted PC with no applications etc running directly to the ethernet wan port of your gateway modem and run the test. the fastest connection is determined by the home switches/routers, and how much competing traffic is there. I can do a speed test directly from my router (easier).
Try another ethernet cable, ideally a CAT6e.
Update the NIC drivers from your manufacturer's website.
Guessing there's still no answer to this... I just got a new cat7, direct from the modem to my PC and it's getting a couple hundred Mbps slower download than wifi, as well. Very odd.
