Re: download purchased movies

gingerquinn1, if you're trying to download content from the Stream app to your laptop's or mobile device's internal memory, that is not a feature we have available at this time. Customers using the Stream app can download their favorite shows they have recorded to the app and have that available for them on the app to stream while offline.

Support help says downloading purchased content is allowed, just not over website, only apps.

"You can also download purchases using the XFINITY Stream app on your Apple and Android devices. Downloaded titles can even be viewed when you are not connected to the Internet"

Re: download purchased movies

That stinks. So we purchased 19 movies with the understanding that we own a digital copy and we can't download to a laptop or media drive?

You are not "streaming" if you are offline.

RE: " ... not "streaming" if you are offline" - ummm - if I cannot watch the material offline then I did not really DOWNload it. I just copied it from xfinity's site to somewhere else on the web. What a sham.

Re: download purchased movies

I paid $19.99 for John Wick 3, the same price I would have paid for the DVD at Walmart and now xfinity comes up wish some kind of complicated bs to DL this movie?  This will be the last movie I purchase from xfinity as it is nothing more than a scam. I've only had xfinity for about 2 months and so far, I'm not happy with any of the service; the Internet service is ok but xfinity should school folks that get anything over 100mb that it's a waste..  I should have gone back to Directv for tv while I had the chance. I'm getting sick and tired of the little remote pucks rebooting.

People, go to Walmart and purchase your movies.

Re: download purchased movies

Ken, I am really frustrated at the answer being provided.  If Comcast had been upfront that it was not possible to download purchased content to ANY device then we would npot have bought moviesd from Comcast but rather bought the DVD's froma retail location for the same price.

This is not what is suggessted by your content at ALL.. Very misleading.

Addionally, when speaking with Customer Service, just now,  she stated that if I apply a filter during Browse for content available "on the go" or translated to Download to device, it will restrict the content.  So, Tuesday I bought Angel Fallen.  It appears in the filtered search, but there is NO opition to download.  This is WRONG!  I am mislead, deceived and spent hundreds on movies with Comcast that I can't take along on the road.

When I confronted her/Comcast's lies, she hung up on me.  Just perfect.

Wish I knew.  I will be sure to tell everyone I know how much BS this is.

No wonder USA Today named Comcast one of the 20 Most Hated Companies in America last year.

You deserve it.

Do you know what needs an Upgrade? Not our subcriptions. Answer: Your lame site.

I will never "purchase" a movie from it again!

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Re: download purchased movies

Jeff, thank you going through that pain on our behalf -- and saving us from the trouble.

Sorry for your financial loss, and mine.

Never again!

AMZN and APPL, by the way, actually let you download movies you buy. What a concept!
