Transfer a line / phone from one XFINITY to another XFINITY mobile account

Scenario:  A young adult sets up their own home which has XFINITY internet.  They purchased an LG K30 (Android) when on parent account.  Accordong to conversation with XFINITY techs the young adult cannot transfer either their phone or phone line to their new account.  Even though it is an XFINITY to XFINITY transfer.  This means the young adult not only has to buy a new phone bu they have to get a new number and all the hassle tha goes with informing contacts of the new number.  If true, this is a real issue and constraint and I would advise people to avoid XFINITY untile they have resolved this and the Android BYOD issues.

there is no issue  there is  not  Android BYOD at this time  so you can not bring  your own android phones over
