I can’t see what the solution was? I am having the exact same problem and was on the phone with xfinity customer service for an hour this morning and they couldn’t fix it. Now I am waiting 24-48 hours to receive a call from “tier 2”? Tech support ppl? If there is a solution can you plz post it?

Ktainsworth80,  have you tried resetting your network settings?

Yes they had me try that numerous times

Have you rebooted the phone and removed the sim card,  replace then reboot?

Turning the roaming data off then back on fixed it but for less than 2 minutes only

Same problem with me after 6 months on Xfinity network. The store nor phone support can’t help and said “try an Apple store”.

Any success?  I've been trying for over 2 weeks to get data working on my iPhone 7 and my daughter's iPhone 6+.  They were BYOD ported to Xfinity.  We've also been sent to a tier 2 support which was a black hole.  The local store tried all sorts of things with no success.

What is the exact model number of your iPhone 7, where did you buy it, and what carrier was it on before doing the BYPD to Xfinity Mobile?

If cellular data was working before porting your phone then the issue may be an incorrect APN setting from the previous carrier profile

 

Go to Settings-General and see if there is a Profile there and, if so, delete it and restart the phone.

If the APN settings are not visible, try Field Test Mode by dialing *3001#12345#*

 

Then tap on PDP Context Info and then tap on 0 and the APN setting should be visible.
