Porting iPhone SE (Sprint) to xfinity Issues

As per this tool, xfinity supports porting from Sprint iPhone SE Unlocked.

But the xfinity store representatives are telling me that they can't do it as my iPhone is not compatible. Anyone faced such issues? Your inputs will help me. Thanks!

Re: Porting iPhone SE (Sprint) to xfinity Issues

Is the phone GSM or CDMA?  If it's CDMA I don't think it can be done.  I'm in that position with an iPhone SE bought through VM which uses Sprint.  Phone can't be used with straight Sprint, just VM.  I believe xfinity was working on unlocking the CDMA phones so they could be used with xfinity mobile, but I haven't read anything lately on that.

Accoding to the "tool" looks like Sprint needs to unlock it for you first.

We are having this exact same issue! It has been very frustrating and nobody at xfinity or sprint can give us answers. I'm hoping they will figure it out soon. Have you figured anything out yet? If they are advertising that sprint iPhone se's can work on their network, then they should actually work.

Re: Porting iPhone SE (Sprint) to xfinity Issues

I am interested in this topic. I hav and am happy using a iPhone SE (Verizon 1662) with Xfinity Mobile that uses Verizon’s network. I also have a new iPhone SE (Sprint 1723) that I’d love to use for my daughter too. I know the tool says the Sprint version is not compatible (even though someone here says the tool says it is). However someone else also says they tested it with an Xfinity SIM card and it worked fine. The rep said no but only quoted the tool not other real info. Elsewhere I read that both Spring and Verizon iPhone SE models (1662 & 1723) are fully compatible with Verizon’s network. The Sprint version is not fully compatible with TMobile network. So what gives...what is the final answer..will it or won’t a 1662 model work on Xfinity Mobile..and if not, why not..Or do I just need to try..answer and reason for appreciatedSmiley Wink

Re: Porting iPhone SE (Sprint) to xfinity Issues

I just put my Xfiinity Mobile SIM in my Unlocked Verizon iPhone SE and it can connect to 1x 3G LTE, but can't get data nor calls, and calling out to any number leads directly to the Xfinity Mobile Activations line.

Interesting, because my iPhone 8 from T-Mobile isn't "compatible" due to missing CDMA radios which the iPhone SE has and yet the iPhone 8 works with everything (sans CDMA). Xfinity Mobile's official statement is "iPhone 6 and newer" which the iPhone SE is two years newer, but apparently unsupported?

Is your iPhone SE still working on Xfinity Mobile and if so, what software version does it have?
