Hello. I have a Samsung Note 8 that seemed to be working on. Then, all of a sudden, when I would make a call and try to use Waze I'd get the following message:
Mobile Data is Not Available - Mobile data is not available while you're on this call. Apps like email, Internet, and social networking will work if you connect to Wi-Fi"
Sometimes, if I hang up and call again, or have them call me, I can use data again while on the call. But recently, seems like no matter what I do, I cannot use both anymore. As soon as I hang up, I get cell service again and all my data/notifications come in.
Can someone please help?
I am also experiencing this issue. Unlimited data plan. iPhone XS.
Mobile data is cutting out when on the phone.
In your Settings | Cellular | Cellular Data Options enable LTE for Voice and Data.
Be advised that your calls will now be using LTE data and this is not free.
For this to work, the person you are calling must also have Voice over LTE support enabled.
VoLTE does not use any data, at all. I've tested it and it doesn't use a single bit. Both of my "tests" had data on and data off and I still got the HD quality when calling someone with Verizon or XM Mobile (which VoLTE does).
