I'm curious how you launch a new cell service boasting the use of wifi without being able to call/text over WiFi on the Galaxy S8. My old S7 was able to do this just fine. I have now gone back into the past of not being able to receive calls or texts at home (where I work remotely from). When is this going to be fixed or am I going to have to cancel this after Day 1? Is Xfinity Mobile in the business of offering Verizon Network extenders that I can connect to my router to have a signal? AT&T was able to do that years ago with no questions asked if your phone didnt work great at your home.
Was very excited to sign up for this new service - apparently assuming this is 2017 and Wifi Calling/Texting is the norm is my mistake.....

Hi TheMarf. Unfortunately due to current system limitations, we do not support Wi-Fi Calling at this time, however this feature will be coming in the future. As we launch as a New Mobile Carrier, we sincerely appreciate your patience as we develop these new features!

My wife and I were specifically told that WIFI calling was included. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON WE SIGNED UP!!!!!!!! Your sales staff should be fired. I am disgusted that the company that sells me wifi will not allow me to place wifi calls. This renders your service unusable to me. I cannot receive calls or texts at home. Thanks for nothing. I will be returning (y)our two phones and will be expecting A FULL REFUND!
This is a big problem for me. I may have to return my phone because there is no WIFI calling. This is so backward!
It is madness! And also the basis for calling in the lawyers if a full refund is not given. The xfinity web site clearly states "utilizes Wi-Fi service -- both XFINITY WiFi and Wi-Fi provided by other Internet Service Providers ("ISPs)".
I feel duped. Every time that I went to call support, I got a message saying that it would be a 90 minute wait. I tried the chat, and no one was there. I went to their store and was told the wait was 2 hours. Finally, I find an external web link in Google search leading to this thread. Obviously, Comcast want's to bury this topic. That's understandable. WiFi calling is a basic service for other carriers. The fact that they don't have it and can't even tell us when it will be ready tells me just how dis-organized and out of control they are. Their sales and marketing are even worse because they lead all of us to believe that they support wifi calling. Shameful.
Nowhere in that statement says specifically WIFI Calling is offered as a feature with XMobile. Just because you comprehended it that way doesn't mean that's what they intended to say.
You should have read the terms & conditions before you signed up for a relatively new service provider. Did you expect them to roll out with all the features of perhaps T-mobile, who has been in the game for 18 Years?
Signing up for a provider that started 2 months ago is no one else but your fault. Expect dropped calls, understaffed support, confused reps, delayed shipping and everything in between. If you don't like it, T-Mobile just rolled out free Netflix to their customers with no additional charge. Join the T-Force.
Nevertheless, WIFI Calling, BYOD, better wait times should be on their priority 100%, or they will lose customers faster than T-Mobile's Customer Service wait time. (28 Secs is the longest I ever waited.)
Just port your number to Google Voice and use the Google Voice app or Hangouts on your mobile phone. You will get calling and texting using wifi or data. And it works in Canada, Europe too.
