Problem using Xfinity home on Verizon network

I recently switched from Comcast to Verizon, but kept Xfinity Home. I noticed the touchscreen won't connect to the Verizon WIFI ... I think it's still trying to use Comcast credential. A Comcast agent came over and suggested I buy a Netgear router, which I bought. But today I'm told that still isn't gonna work; Comcast needs to come in and install their router, which will leave me with two routers in my home. Is there a workaround? How does one configure the Xfinity Home Touchscreen and camera to see my WiFi?

Thanks,

cm056, I have not heard of a work around. We do need to install our own router for XFINITY Home.

Adding to ComcastKen, you need a specific Netgear router provided by Comcast and installed by a tech, for your home security to work properly.
