Camera Buffering Takes Soo Long

I watch my home cameras through the Xfinity Home app on my phone.  It can take as long as 5 minutes for the cameras to load.  Why does this take so long.  And why is there so much "buffering" going on?  I have had a couple occasions where I was watching activity in my front yard and the camera just happens to go down right at that moment?  BUFFERING
