Xfinity Connect app still not working on iPad

Recent update to app indicates the problem with having to open and close app multiple times has been fixed. NOT SO!!! After using the app on my iPad, I have to close it down. Otherwise, next time I use it things don’t work; e.g., when trying to read an email, it keeps trying to open it but is unsuccessful; also, after deleting emails, they reappear.
