Why can i use my $100 tablet as a phone but not my 2000 computer with xfinity
I have a ton of devices and i can make them all work with my home/comcast # . They have apps for my phone for my tablets. I can get email and phone calls on all of them useing my home phone number account to make calls on them ..forward calls to them also. BUT what i can not do without buying a 30 year old technology voice modem is make a phone call from my desktop even though that was the very first way to make a computer call to the "Phone network". When will Comcast compile xfinityToGo to run on my pc. I just seems silly to me that i can get it on my mini/hand-held android devices but not on a real pc. Heck I'd take a linux version if windows apps scares them. Come on Comcast SIP on Windows is what 15 year old technology? Even cooler Since i use xfinty mobile also ...let me link my galaxy to my computer so I can call and answer it from my desktop. That would be an android app i would think and pretty simple to do.
