I have received an email from Xfinity My Account telling me I cannot use my email without verifying by clicking a “check it out” link. How can I figure out if this is safe and/or necessary? If it’s a phishing email it’s fairly sophisticated..
i would love love to just call customer service but apparently that is no longer a thing one can easily figure out either.
If your email is working for you, then there should be nothing for you to 'check out'. Sounds like phishing and should be reported to Comcast via email at email@example.com. Save the phishing email as a file and add it as an attachment to your email to Comcast. They will check it out.
