Can't send email Xfinity connect app

I can recieve mail but cannot send emails to anyone on the Xfinity app. I log into my account on a desktop and can send email just fine. Is there an issue with the app? I am getting the following error as shown in the picture (blocked out my email)

I am too, 500 5.1.0.
Searched but found no answer. Have removed app & reinstalled to NO AVAIL.
Logging in over web browser on Galaxy S7 will allow me to send though.
EXTREMELY AGGRAVATING !!

Me too! I will assume it's a glitch and retry tomorrow. If it still doesn't work I'll come back here, I am sure you will have it worked out by then! Thank you!

Waiting on level 3 support to answer. IVR is getting slammed. "No known issue" is what she told me. I'm getting on the Slack tech channel over a different device...

I'm having the exact same issue. I was told it was an isolated problem to me alone. Obviously not! I have a Galaxy S9. Beyond aggravating. I'm calling them again!

Stayed on hold until 1 am eastern time. Got up to working email again, so far....

Fortunately when I got up just before noon it worked. But I feel bad that they didn't even know there was a problem! Hopefully all of you are sending emails normally now.
