Doesn't look possible.  Looks like Xfinity Connect only supports photo/picture attachments.  Maybe send Feedback in the app to the Developers to ask for feature to be supported?

It seems odd to me, but this is true for IOS devices according to the FAQ at https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-connect-mobile-app-faqs#m012 :

Is there a limit to the number of attachments or attachment size in an email? What type of attachments can I upload?
  • You can attach up to 10 files to an email.
  • The total size of all attachments cannot exceed 20 MB.
  • Apple devices support uploading photos. Android devices allow photos and other types of files to be uploaded.
