When I log in and navigate to xfinity.com/myxfi (on app and desktop) I do not have the opportunity to select the xfi modem/router to initialize service. I only get the error message:
You signed in successfully, but you must be an Xfinity user to enjoy this service.
I would love to enjoy this service but instead I am already regretting it. What is the solution to this problem?

It sounds like you don't have the correct creden tials. Go to My Account and see what userid/passwords you have and try different ones.
