Why is Stream tv such a system hog?

it was using up a lot of system. like 60  percent.

the decoding of encrypted data stream uses some processor time and if your motherboard can't put the video processing 'off board' to a video/multimedia board then the processor must handle that function at the same time. 'it is what it is' for your system. on mine i get a 2-3% bump streaming but I have a multimedia board that handles the video.

I have an onboard Graphics card intel 2000 from like Febuary 2013 I was using chrome it seems to use less  system on the firefox quantum processor.

 

what's the best browser for Stream tv?

any major should work with flash enabled. chrome has embedded sand-boxed flash built in and they keep flash up to date on their browser.
