Unwatchable streaming

I am extremely frustrated with my Xfinity/Comcast streaming services as of late.  I travel and look forward to watching my recorded shows from my hotel room but lately, that has been virtually impossible.  My shows, for example, Billions, has been truncated down to 29 minutes and constantly skips ahead.  This only happens when I am away from home.  Nothing seems to be wrong with the DVR when I am at home, but on my laptops or iPads, it makes watching impossible.  What can I do to fix this problem?  I am on the verge of finding a new provider.  Thanks in advance for the help.

it is a national problem but seems to affect the northeastern states area more often. Comcast has not given an estimated time of repair. while you are travelling, on-demand versions of shows should be available.
