I bought my mom a Kindle Fire for Christmas 2012. She is one of those "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" type of people. I have a Samsung Galaxy, we both have the Xfinity app..Well, we did...She can no longer get on her Xfinity app because apparently you no longer offer the app to Kindle Fire!? I bought the Kindle Fire for her so she can take her "TV & Radio" anywhere. Now she can no longer watch her programs on her Tablet. I probably wouldn't have gotten her one if I would have known she wouldn't have had any use for it..I don't know exactly why you took it off but I certainly hope you get it back soon!!

I think they will never do it

Thats interesting. I got the same information via chat. That's the reason why I decided for th Fire. Yut your technical support yesterday said no, it's not supported. You should sync internally and circle back. This whole mobile app approach is going south for me.

two options from my point of view:

  • clarify your web application license situation and bring this back asap
  • support Windows 10

Re: Xfinity app. Kindle Fire

@ComcastKenF now the best thing!!! After endless calls etc. its running on one of this -for me useless- Android devices, but!!!!! the old rules can only be switched on and off! You are no longer able to modify them. Unbelievable!

So, the only way now is to create rules but you need to live with preconfigured rules comcast is throwing over the fence. As an example: you are not able to create a simple rule "if armed away, set thermostat to 60F". Or a rule "if disarmed, set thermostat to 73F"

I had the Xfinity app on my fire 6he and it worked great.  My 6 linked and I just got a fire 8hd and it doesn't work, despite you noting it does. I watch tv exclusivly on the tablet, so this is a real problem. I've downloaded app twice, the getting my started button doesn't work. Tried Xfinity stream site, says my device isnt compatible.  If you still think it should work, by all means work me some magic over here.
