I have Xfinity cable and internet. Every time I try to stream an on demand show from ANY of my devices, the video quality is fine but the sound cuts in and out with static. I get a better quality from YouTube. What's the deal?
its a combination of using flash as their player of choice and low bitrate video. Not much you can do but hope they switch to an HTML5 player and increase the bitrate to match even Amazon which is slightly worse than Netflix.
The best streaming service is Xbox Live/Win10 Store followed by Netflix then Amazon. None of them use flash as the basis for their players and they also have higher bitrates on the video which leads to less artifacts (less squares in dark areas, loss of detail etc) and because they arent using flash they are also more secure for the user.
