Get into the 21st Century, Comcast.

I don't drive a Model A so why does Comcast insist on using Adobe Flashplayer for it's streaming service.   There is no improvement in customer experience using old tech that literally everyone else has abandoned.

Is it because you believe we'll give up and get additonal temporary cable service because the Flash Player service is so terrible?

there are many threads on this. Comcast must use HDCP approved methods to protect content (contract with suppliers). Comcast has announced that by the end of December 2020 they will not be using flash. The only flash 'module' used is video stream security, not the rendering of the images (video).

I know all that but Its like having a jet that has all electronic controls except the ailerons and the ailerons fail every tenth use.   All the other providers don't use flash.  It's replacement was defined years ago and support from Adobe is minimal and probably isn't abandoned on PC' s simply because of Comcast not spending the money to upgrade their systems.

That's funny because hulu plus, sling tv , direct tv doesn't seem to have this issue. Ruku is the worst tv system out of all the other choices. I know I made the mistake of buying one. It is 2020 and xfinity stream still stinks.

I have the same problem. Xfinity was supposed to fix this by January 2020. Flashplayer permission has to be granted over and over. The stream often fails partway thru a show and I I have to re-enable Flashplayer again.
