Flash is obsolete, why is Xfinity still requiring it?

Flash is obsolete, why is Xfinity still requiring it?

Chrome began phasing it out last year and will soon block it entirely. Facebook, and other sties dropped it long ago. But Xfinity still requires Flash to use DVR Manager, etc.

Is there any plan for xfinity to upgrade to HTML5 like the rest of the world, or are they just going to leave their customers vulnerable to ever-increasing Flash malware and exploits?

Comcast, with their Xfinity Streaming service is still trying to reach as many customer's devices as possible.

That means sticking with flash as long as possible. Most older devices can only operate under Flash. When Flash is finally dead and gone, these people will need to replace their devices to watch streaming video. You can count on Comcast switching then.  Smiley Wink
