I have two tv sets, a 2k and a 4K
The 2k tv is connected to the master 4K DVR box and running at 1080p.
The 4K is connected to the slave box.
But on setting up the 4ktv, xfinity using Device Settings - Video Display, system says:
"Your TV is ready for 4K. You just need a 4K capable TV box"
And it also says that the "best available TV resolution is 1080p!
But the masterbox connected to the 2K TV is a 4k box!
Is the slave resolution limited by the resolution of the master box?
Hello,
My 4k box says XG1V4-A and the Model is: AX014ANM.
Does it matter if I hook up the 4K box with the 4K TV and the slave with the 2K TV?
Thanks
Dear CCAndrew,
I forgot to mention.
The small slave box says: XiD-P
thanks
The XID is 2k; you need to either switch boxes or TV's. Switching boxes is what I would do.
Hello again,
I found a box called a Xi6-T on the internet. Is that what I need for the 4K?
It looks like all I have to do is connect the HDMI cable from the box to the TV.
And I won't need the existing coax cable from the wall.
And I guess run setup again selecting the 4K resolution.
Is this pretty much all I need to do?
thanks again...

just clarifying.. 'on the internet' - no purchased box (like ebay item) will ever work on your system. the boxes you can activate come directly from Comcast.
