The newest dvr, XG1V4, is capable of connecting to most bluetooth speakers/headphones but still needs a live cable signal.

Re: can the new dvr box connect via bluetooth

I have connected my Bluetooth headphones to the new XG1V4 box and they sound great with no audio delay. Now say the next day I want to turn my headphones back on and listen via Bluetooth, is there a way to quicky reconnect? The only option I'm finding to work is: going into Comcast labs > bluetooth > highlighting my device (which still shows connected even though it's been off for hours) > disconnecting > reconnect which will then re-repair the device.

Also is there another box that will run alongside the XG1V4 on another TV that also has Bluetooth option?

You seem to be confusing WiFi with Bluetooth. The X15 box can handle WiFi. Not so for the 4k DVR. Somewhat un-related but Samsung UHD smart tv's can also handle Bluetooth Key-boards for doing e-mail, etc. on split screen while watching tv (cable, OTA, etc.). Andrew's post also correct.

That is the only way to connect.

The Xi5 also has Bluetooth capability

Can the X15 be used with a coax or is it wireless only?

There's no coax connector, it's wireless or ethernet.

I am looking for a solution to this as well.  It is very cumbersome to reconnect previously paired headphones with the 4K box.

Mine seems to be hit-or-miss; sometimes it is paired and other times I have to forget the headphones and re-pair them.

Re: can the new dvr box connect via bluetooth

I see that this member has written this question a month ago with no replies.  I'm having the same problem.  It's not the headset that is problem.  Anything I hook up with bluetooth is the same.  I can pair it but when I shut the bluetooth headset or speaker off, in Comcast's settings, it's still showing that it is connected.  It won't pair with the device when I turn the device on unless I go into the menu and tell it to forget the device and then repair it again.  Any suggestions?

I'm haveing the same problem.  X box shows the paired device but no sound through headphones.  HELP PLEASE!

I tried one bluetooth headset and I had issues with it.  I bought another headset and I have had fewer issues with it.  Since Bluetooth is a Comcast Labs option, I suspect they are still in development for support.

Re: can the new dvr box connect via bluetooth

Hi Andrew,

I just had an HG4 Bluetooth enabled box installed. It works for one pair of headphones, but not two.  Is that correct?  If it is, that’s unfortunate.  Is there any kind of workaround?  I also have a Homespot Blue Tooth Audio Transmitter that does work for two headphones, but I was never able to get it to work with either. Any tips gratefully received

Since Bluetooth is in Comcast Labs, that means it is in a "testing" stage.  Start a new thread for a feature request.

My bluetooth headphones work great with the xg1v4 box, but agree it is a pain to reconnect.  Why not put a bluetooth button on the XFINITY ribbon to cut down on all the menus you have to navigate?

Re: can the new dvr box connect via bluetooth

My bluetooth sometimes gets out of sync on the sound.  Is that a known issue?

I see Bluetooth is no longer in Comcast Labs.
