I replaced two STB w/the “new” 4K streaming STB, and from day 1, (3 months), I have had video (black screen) and audio issues, lasting 1-2 seconds @ a time. It’s very random. Sometimes it’s 5 minutes after turning on the tv/STB or it could be on for an 2 hours w/no trouble, then it is. Ex. Let’s say I’m watching a game, and for no reason, I have a black screen. I have gone into the settings and ensured that I have selected the surround sound setting, in the STB, nut nothing I watch is in surround sound. Didn’t have this issue before switching boxes. Both STB are connected to home theater systems and Sony TVs. I’m sure I’m not the only 1 w/these issues. Helping me will help many. The new boxes are great, as they are very small & there’s no need for the cablewire from the wall...just connect to the WiFi and programming streams to the STB.
My Xi6 works fine, even getting 4K and Dolby Digital 5.1. Then again, I have it connected via Ethernet as opposed to WiFI as I wanted to avoid any issues with WIFi congestion and interference.

Thanks for the reply. I cannot be 100% sure, but I’m not ready to blame the WiFi just yet, for the following reasons. Having “smart TV” I use WiFi often and I don’t have these issues; streaming directly to the TV, not when I’m using a streaming box, nor when I’m stream Xfinity to my laptop. I will trying a network cable to see if it helps...thanks again.
