Xi5 box no longer connecting to wifi

after a few months of perfect use, my wireless Xi5 box stopped working yesterday. i tried all normal troubleshooting, but now it just says it is unable to connect to wifi. i move the box right next to wireless modem, still same unable to connect issue. any ideas on a fix? wifi is working fine on phone, laptop, etc. so that isnt the issue. could the box be faulty?

The Xi5 also depends on moca to work. Reset the dvr and take a look at the gateway and see if the moca light is on(should be).

i unplugged and replugged all devices while troubleshooting. the moca light was on. no blinking or anything else. just steadily lit.

what error message is on your TV screen?

I am having similar issue. Xi5 no longer connects to wifi. Moca light on gateway is blue. Xi5 tries for a while to connect, then says it didn't work and gives me a red screen asking if I want to try again or find another network. Now it's stuck on the opening welcome screen

If you only have a DVR reboot the DVR. If you have a larger companion set top box model XG2 reboot it instead. When the rebooted set top box completely comes up to live TV, reboot your modem (unplug for 30 seconds or so). When it comes up completely (internet working), reboot the Xi5. let us know. (note you can't turn off the wifi on the modem/gateway/router for if turned off the Xi5 can't communicate wirelessly.
